GEI is seeking a qualified Civil Project Engineer. This position is for quality-oriented persons for work related to overall project engineering with client and agency interactions required. The position includes being in charge of all technical aspects of projects involving civil engineering design, site plan development, grading, street design, sewer design, and water design. The position includes working with the project manager for administrative and problem-solving support. Design, analysis, and construction plan preparation with assistance from a designer and drafter are key elements. The work also includes technical writing for reports and general correspondence.
Qualifications for this position include a minimum of 5 years experience in civil engineering and motivated work ethic. A P.E. registration is required for this position. The position also requires a working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

- Directs sub-consultants as required.
- Directs assigned Designers for document preparation.
- Reviews and responds to all Agency & Owner review comments.
- Project construction administration (coordination/communication with General Contractor; responds to RFI’s; coordinates and is responsible for submittal review; prepares clarification drawings; etc.)
- Performs General Site Observation Visits.

- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Ability to produce full sets of construction documents.
- Knowledge of local jurisdictional code, and ability to research codes for design implementation.
- Must be able to work independently, juggle multiple jobs at once and be self-motivated.
- Be a team player!
- Candidate must be a detail orientated individual, be able to multi-task and meet client deadlines.
- Construction background helpful.
- Fluent in English.
