Hiring...Civil Project Engineer

Grenier Engineering, Inc. is looking for a sharp, productive individual who is skilled, personable and committed to professional excellence.  Tucson is one of the hottest markets in the country right now and the extended future looks amazing! GEI has an opportunity for a Civil Project Engineer with a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience involving land development projects as well as site plans for commercial, educational and industrial projects. This position must include the ability to take a project from conceptual design to final plans and provide innovative solutions to move the project thru construction. We will cover your moving expenses. Don’t want to relocate? No problem - the ability to work remotely is on the table and we have current staff that do just that! 
Qualifications:
BS degree in Civil Engineering
AutoCad and Civil 3D proficiency.
PE preferred but not required.
Ability to work and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Be on time; be smart; don’t be adversarial.
Responsibilities:
Manage and deliver projects from conception thru construction.
Overall project engineering with client and agency interaction.
Effectively interface with all levels of personnel & management.

Structural Engineer In Training

​We are looking for a Structural Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our team. The Structural EIT, working under one or more licensed Professional Engineers, will help develop and analyze building designs, provide calculations, produce drawings with the aid of a drafter and provide construction support services to contractors. The successful candidate will:
  Assist in the design, coordination, and production of construction documentation and specifications on assigned projects
  • Be familiar with the structural design and detailing of concrete, steel, wood and masonry building components
  • Coordinate structural construction drawings with Architectural, Civil, MEP, and other consultant as required
  • Participate in and document project meetings including, but not limited to, architectural design and coordination, geotechnical report meetings, and project coordination meetings
  • Conduct constructability and quality control review
  • Perform structural design calculations for wood, concrete, structural steel, and masonry structures while following the approved structural design standards and procedures while under the direct supervision of the project structural engineer of record
  • Perform Structural Construction Administration tasks including, but not limited to site visits and assessments, assist in field observations and reports, shop drawing review and response to project RFI’s under the direct supervision of the project structural engineer of record
  • Produce 3D structural Revit models using integrated Architectural and MEP Revit models for coordination
  • Provide CAD backup drafting as need
 
As an EIT, you will be developing a solid foundation and gaining invaluable experience in the industry. Your success is our success, and we value hard work and dedication. Gaining experience to become a registered PE is our aim.
 
Qualifications 
  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
  • Passed Engineer In Training Exam (FE).
  • Mandatory knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D; Revit knowledge is beneficial.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management required. 
  • Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment required. 
  • Ability to self-motivate and work productively to meet client deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel required.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Strong sense of continued personal and technical development.

College Level Intern

​We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is skilled, personable, and committed to professional excellence - a motivated engineering intern who is seeking to contribute to the design of building projects. This paid Internship position provides the college student an opportunity to gain real-world experience in their specific area of study. The Intern will work alongside professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting which provides the intern invaluable experiences applying the knowledge and skills learned through education in a business environment.  We are seeking two interns; one for the structural department and one for the civil department.
  • Provide engineering design for land development and building components.  
  • Provide support to engineering staff members as needed.
  • Participate in site observations.
Qualifications 
  • Graduating in Fall 2022 or Spring 2023.
  • Mandatory knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D; Revit knowledge is beneficial.
